Foundation
Cinemovel Foundation started with the purpose of creating sustainable projects of travelling cinema. It aims to bring together all the organisations and the individuals that operate for the advancement of civil society and for human development in various countries.
Mission
Cinemovel Foundation makes it possible for cinema to travel and therefore to become a tool for knowledge, exchange and awareness, with the aim of contributing to the cultural, social and economic development of the countries through which Cinemovel travels. Through travelling, Cinemovel rediscovers the encounter between tradition and innovation and the quality of experience, both of which are part of cinema.
Principles and values
Cinemovel Foundation is an international body that promotes access to new technologies, a more equal distribution of intellectual and material resources, and processes of democratic development. Cinemovel operates on the basis of the values of social identity of each specific country and on the basis of the solidarity between communities, sometimes far away; it allows cinema to continue doing what it was born for, which is telling stories.
Ettore Scola is the honorary president of the foundation.
Elisabetta Antognoni, Claudio Caprara and Nello Ferrieri are the members of the board of directors.
